Everybody's Fine

By Steve Gattine

It's amusing to see how the team you follow, both on the field and in the broadcast booth, reflects your personality. Being hardcore OCD myself, and desperately uncomfortable with change, it was with an understanding smile that I watched SNY continuously reiterate Friday that it was Ed Coleman joining Gary Cohen in the booth. Ronnie was under the weather so the network swiped Coleman from WFAN for the night. Lest any Met fan (who has never listened to the FAN) think that some undeserving impostor is taking the place of one of our '86 greats, the network not only had Cohen explain the situation three times, but in the seventh, they put a rolling graphic under the scoreline: "Commentators: Gary Cohen Ed Coleman Kevin Burkhardt." All is well, remain calm...
