I must say I am actually more relieved than happy the Mets won last night. Let's assume first they would've lost, the added number in the loss column sure would've had all the Wilpon haters calling the local radio shows bashing them, rightfully so of course. The Wilpons should thank their collection of players before tonight's game because as history in this season so far has started, there's a good chance they lose.
Which is why being a Mets fan is about being relieved after a win because all it does is delay another long drawn out season of bad losses, rumors, and more bad losses. The Mets have become the whipping boys of baseball. Wins delay the darts thrown at the organization and allows us fans to enjoy our next mornings. I surely hope the Mets continue to win, it provides me much needed relief for what will come later in the year.

  1. We have played some tough competition so far that probably makes things look a little worse than they are, but if us the fans feel like this after every win you can bet a lot of the players do as well and that isn't a good thing at all.

  2. so how do we get things moving for the good????
